Katman makes his Chateauroux debut

International midfielder Felix Katongo made his competitive debut for his new club, Berrichonne Chateauroux barely 24 hours after making his seasonal loan switch from ligue 1 side, Stade Rennais.

The ex-Green Buffaloes midfielder came on as a second half substitute just after the hour mark in the 1-1 stalemate against Metz on Friday night in the French Ligue 2 match.

Chateauroux is currently placed 15th on a 20-team log with 9 points after just 10 matches played. The Christian Sarramagna coached side has won two and drawn three matches.

The other Zambians, gangling duo of Jacob Mulenga and Stophira Sunzu missed the match due to an injury and international duty respectively.

Sunzu alongside his under-20 teammates; Justine Zulu and Emmanuel Mayuka (both based in Israel) are expected to leave for their base tomorrow
